Project summary
Fepsa - Feltros Portugueses, S.A, established in 2006-01-04 and headquartered in São João da Madeira, is dedicated to the production of fur felts and wool hats. The origin of the activity of the company has long decades, resulting from the autonomization of part of the activity of a company founded in the 60s by the union of 6 of the 7 national manufacturers of hats, which in turn were the right evolution of the early industry of the hat industry in Portugal. Fepsa is currently the only national fur and wool felting company for the hats industry, exporting about 98% of its production.
The project is part of an investment strategy already underway in the company since 2015, which encompasses the implementation of the actions contemplated in the applications for SI Innovation (No 578) and SI R & TD (No. 11205) the introduction of innovative processes and products in the company.
The integrated actions in this project focus on the immaterial domains of competitiveness, including the creation of a laboratory dedicated to the development of products, the implementation of an ERP, the implementation and certification of Quality Management, Occupational Safety and Health systems and Environmental. An important aspect of the project intervention is the dematerialisation of internal documentary processes related to the management systems implemented in the scope of the project.
